LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION CLASS |
|
There will be a lifeguard certification class, taught by a certified American Red Cross instructor, starting Saturday, April 5th to April 17, 2008. The class will be held at Wavemaker 4 in LAC. Lifeguard certification cards will be given upon successful completion of the course. Participants must be 15 years old by the completion of the class.

FREE FIRST AID RALLY - ONE DAY ONLY |
|
In conjunction with our commitment to help educate the community, the chapter is offering a free First Aid Training class on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Sharptown United Methodist Church - 24 Church St - Pilesgrove, NJ. The class will be held from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND - No exceptions

The 2nd Annual Salem County Chapter Poker Run will be on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the Penns Grove Elks Lodge # 1358. *** SAVE THE DATE *** - more information to come about time, bands, etc! |

GOLF TOURNAMENT |
|
Please join us for the 6th Annual Salem County Chapter Golf Tournament. It will be held at the Centerton Golf Club , Pittsgrove, NJ 08318 with an 8:00 am shotgun start. Donation is $90/golfer and includes Continental breakfast table at 7:30 AM, greens fees and golf cart, large luncheon buffet at the Centerton Country Club!

DAY SWIM LESSONS BEGIN |
|
The following schedule is for the Salem County Chapter - American Red Cross, daytime swim lesson sessions 2008. They will be held at the Salem County Sportsmen's Club , Route 40 in Carneys Point. The price per each two week session is $32.00 per child. A child may be enrolled in as many sessions as wanted/needed. The sessions are half an hour long and are held between the hours of 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM. Your child will be tested on the first day and then assigned a swim time for the remainder of the session. ** THE MINIMUM AGE FOR SWIM LESSONS IS 4 YEARS OLD **
SESSION 1 - June 23rd to July 4th
SESSION 2 - July 7th to July 18th
SESSION 3 - July 21st to August 1st
SESSION 4 - August 4th to August 15th
ALL PARTICIPANTS REPORT TO THE SPORTSMEN'S CLUB LAKE AT 9:00 AM ON THE FIRST DAY OF THEIR SESSION FOR TESTING.

NIGHT SWIM SESSIONS BEGIN |

The following schedule is for the Salem County Chapter - American Red Cross, night swim lesson sessions for 2008. They will be held at the Salem County Sportsmen's Club , Route 40 in Carneys Point. The price per each session is $26.00 per child. The night sessions are held from Monday thru Thursday . A child may be enrolled in as many sessions as wanted/needed. The sessions are half an hour long and are held between the hours of 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM, and times are assigned according to age (see below for the times/ages). ** THE MINIMUM AGE FOR SWIM LESSONS IS 4 YEARS OLD **
SESSION 1 – July 7th to July 10th ……………………………….…AGE SWIM TIMES
SESSION 2 - July 14th to July 17th ………………....... 5:00 to 5:30 PM – 4 to 5 yr olds
SESSION 3 - July 21st to July 24th …………………...5:30 to 6:00 PM – 6 to 8 yr olds
SESSION 4 – July 28th to July 31st ………………….6:00 to 6:30 PM – 9 yrs and older
SESSION 5 – August 4th to August 7th
SESSION 6 – August 11th to August 14th

GUARDSTART - "LIFEGUARDING TOMORROW" PROGRAM |
|
The following schedule is for the Salem County Chapter - American Red Cross, daytime GuardStart Sessions. They will be held at the Salem County Sportsmen's Club , Route 40 in Carneys Point. The price per each two week session is $75.00 per participant. The sessions are two hours long and will be held from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM each day. This program is to help swimmers between 11 to 14 yrs old, with swim experience, to work toward the regular life guarding course when they are of eligible age. ** THE MINIMUM AGE FOR GUARDSTART IS 11 YEARS OLD ** There must be a minimum of 4 paid participants per session, for these lessons to be held. (The office will notify the participant, if any session does not meet the minimum participant’s requirement.)
SESSION 1 – July 7th to July 18th
SESSION 2 - July 21st to August 1st
SESSION 3 - August 4th to August 15th
