Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Thanks to generous blood donors, the Red Cross collects and distributes nearly half of the nation's blood supply. Over the last year, we helped run 98 blood drives, collecting 3,718 units of blood. Our local high schools conducted 10 of these blood drives collecting 750 units. This was 20% of the total blood collected in Salem County. The blood donated in Salem County could help 11,154 patients.
